Sara, I just caught up a few post. I’m glad that you have decided to fight for your marriage. It is truely hard. You know the one who “came to kill, steal, and destroy” rejoices when marriages break up. He will try to remind you of your pain, and use every opportunity. His main goal is to keep you at a place where you can not use your gifts and energy to bring glory to God. He really doesn’t care if you are married or not. I struggle with depression and feelings of what awful thing will happen next. Somedays I do better than others at taking control over my thoughts. It is VERY HARD when you have someone feeding other thoughts to you. “He doesn’t care about you, if he did he would/wouldn’t…” “No use trying, it won’t work out anyway”, “You’ll go through all that and finally get divorced anyway”… I HAVE HEARD ALL THAT IN MYSELF. Now that I’m more secure in my marriage and we are happier with each other, new thoughts and worries attack my mind. We HAVE TO LEARN to control our thoughts in good times and in bad… Remember that “We can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens us”. It is soooo much easier said than done, but it is possible. It can be answered prayer just like your last major prayer was answered. You have sooo many people praying for you. I know you are weary, don’t let that stop you. I would have never been able to stay married if it were not for God’s help. There’s a song that I like. It’s “PEACE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM” by KIM HOPPER. You can UTube it if you want. The line I say outloud sometimes is “I WILL NOT” be lost at sea. There is an older song by the same title. Listen to the one sung by Kim Hopper. Sorry for the long post. You can tell me if you don’t want me to post, because I do get wordy. I continue to pray for you and yours, Belle L.
