Having been gone for a while has taken its toll. I am trying to get around and meet everyone and figure out who’s who…but it’s hard! My blogroll is dated, and while I’ve added new links here and there, I am sure I have missed people. So, I had a thought…
Elle, of Elle’s world has nominated me for a Very Inspiring Blogger Award!! Thanks so much!
The Rules:
1. Display the award logo on your blog
2. Link back to the person who nominated you
3. State 7 things about yourself
4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award & link to them …Ummm, can we talk about this?
5. Notify those bloggers & the award’s requirements….see above
So, I am not always enthusiastic about directives and not always perfect at following rules. But then who’s perfect, right?
I’m thinking following 3 out of 5 rules gives me a majority compliance rating. That’s really being more in the right than in the wrong. It shows I made a good effort, a start, had an intent to cooperate. Yes, I might not have followed all the rules, went a bit off course just at the end. (Or maybe just didn’t like rule 4 & 5. shhhhhhh ) Yes, THIS is what my husband goes through!
7 things about Sara:
1. I have long dark hair. I usually wear it blown out straight bc I think it looks more professional that way, but ‘au natural’ is all curls. (“there was a little girl, who had a little curl”…yep, I am really, really good, except when I am horrid!)
2. I expected to become a lawyer when I went away to college, and took a semester off to live in Washington DC and work with a political organization. (I was assigned to sit in on congressional hearings and then write the weekly newsletter)
3. I love beaches and collect sea glass when I can find the real deal.
4. I used to hate to dance bc I was too shy and self-conscious. Grant loves dancing and I always felt badly about that. In the past two years I have grown a lot, and now I really enjoy dancing with him!
5. I always sing softly out of kindness for those around me, because I can’t carry a tune.
6. I really enjoy listening to the folk singers of the 70’s and 80’s. Carole King, James Taylor, Joan Baez, Gordon Lightfoot…
7. Antiquing is a favorite hobby for Grant and me.
Instead of nominating 15 other bloggers, I am going to do my own thing with this. I’m having trouble finding and keeping up with so many new DD bloggers, and even people who came on the scene in the past year. I’ve missed a lot while I’ve been gone!
I’m going to ask 15 (or more) DD bloggers, especially those who have not commented here more than once, or who are not listed on my blog roll, or who just want to say hello, to please comment here with the name and link to your blog. For me…Please? It will make updating my blog roll so much easier, and I’d really like to get to know you newer bloggers better!
Thank you!

Hi Sara. I started my blog back in October to chronicle our ttwd adventures and also explore Red Pill ideas. We’ve been married 20+ years and have 7 great kids. I love your blog and read it non-stop when we first started in ttwd. Thanks for your insightful and very enlightening posts and welcome back!! My blog is The Life of Liz
Hey Sara, your current link to my blog is just fine “What does it Mean to be Dominant” should you decide to leave it on your blog roll I would be honoured.
Hello Sara,
My husband and I started DD in October and I started my blog in December. We have been together for nearly 20 years and were happy but now we are so much closer and connected. DD has been a wonderful addition to our relationsship. My blog is http://sammiessecret.blogspot.com blog As you can imagine it is filled with the triumphs and tribulations of a new couple just starting out.
Your blog was the first one I ever read about DD. I had wanted to bring up the idea to my husband for a long time but was so afraid. You helped me to find the words and the courage to approach him. Thank you for that. Also thank you for responding to a question I posted here a while back. I know you must have been inundated after being away for awhile.
I hope your health continues to improve and that you are soon back to your self. From your words it seems like you are getting there!
Hugs to you!
Sam
Hello Sara,
So glad you’re back!
We have already been in contact, but I thought I would leave a comment here in appreciation of your placing the A Domestic Discipline Society link under your Domestic Discipline heading. I am truly honored to be included with that group of DD resource blogs. As you’re now aware, while you were away ADDS had a Favorite DD Blog vote back in October which this Finding Sara blog won. The vote then became the foundation for what is now a community building Sharing DD Blog section that sits atop the All DD Blog list. So, I thank you again Sara! You have been a part of this community even while you were on hiatus
Love the new rules. I don’t know of many blogs, so I barely had the 15 quota lol
I didn’t display the thing either.. So I guess I’m a rule-breaker too lol
Nice to meet you Liz, and I will get you linked!
J, I consider your blog one of my favorites. And it gives an unusual view, the Dom persepctive. Even though I don’t comment often, I do lurk!
Hi Sammy! I’ll add you on the blogroll.
Thank you Mr BB, and I am so honored to be voted “Favorite DD Blog”!!!
Elle, if there weren’t rule breakers, what would the poor spankers DO with those itchy palms? I think we provide them a great service!
Well I feel totally crummy bc I have not got a blog. But never want to miss the opportunity to say hello……hello ! I’m hoping that Ronnie will help me on this front next week. Have to say I wrestle a tad with this ‘competitive’ edge to the award. I mean, I worry enough that my life will be of little interest to anyone. But it will be a true account.Whilst the awards are made with the best of intentions, shouldn’t we all be encouraging oneanother in different ways.Life is hard enough.Ya know ?!And there is enough rubbishy stuff floating around.Sorry to sound negative and this may be tied up with the fact I was appraised in work today for procedures I have been doing (pretty well) for 30 years.Blogland is my little oasis.Off for a long soak in the bath Sarah,LD,UK
Hi Sara
Glad to see you started posting again and I would love to link with your blog
Hey Sara – Thanks for sharing those facts about yourself…I love learning more about my fellow bloggers. The only time I dance or sing is by myself…no rhythm and can’t carry a tune.
FYI…you have my blog listed as Goggles… rather than Giggles… ROFL
Blessings,
Cat
Hi Sara. I’ve commented a few times and have read most of your posts … and I am very glad to see you posting again. We’ve done ttwd for about 18 months. I started my blog to share our journey
and would love to link with yours! http://lizfortoday.wordpress.com/all-about-liz/ is the address for The Life of Liz!
Hi Sara! I’ve heard a lot about you…glad you’re back ! We have only been practicing ttwd for 4 months. My blog is just a place for me to vent and rant and basically just ramble about our crazy life

Hello Sarah. My friend, go ask your man for a spanking! A small attitude adjustment perhaps?
You’ll have a wonderful blog when you get it done and I’m glad Ronnie is helping you. The blogger awards could be a popularity contest if we let them, but I have seen time and again that we play nice in blogland and work to include everyone. It’s a way to connect and get the new bloggers some traffic too.
Hi Bob. You’re going to make me go chase your link? Now who’s not following directions?
Goggles?
LOL! Sorry Cat!
Gotcha Liz!
Welcome Pocahontas! I’ll get you listed!
Sara,
Such a wonderful idea, I love it! And thank you so much for adding me to your blog roll. I love your insightful comments.
Thank you again for sharing your journey with us. You’ve been such a wonderful resource for me – even if you didn’t know it!

Hi, Sara! I’m glad you’re feeling better and are back. I have been following you for a while, and just started my own blog last week. We just started practicing Dd on Jan 1st, so we are really new. I love your honesty and the openness of your posts.

Hi Mami and welcome! I’ll be sure to stop by your new blog.
I’l check out your new post Jen!
Emi, you’ll go right on my blogroll!
Hermione, we grew up about the same time. I actually saw Gordon Lightfoot again last year. What a delight…and he can still sing!
Priya, I am indeed a Princess and I keep trying to explain to Grant that I am DD Royalty.
Maybe he’ll read it here and finally understand my position…which was never intended to be OTK!!!
